Kimberly Wyatt recently announced that she had decided to leave the group and was later followed by Ashley Roberts. However, Scherzinger claimed that the changes are positive and told MTV News: "We're... going to have a new cast of Dolls. And I'm excited." She added that she has already started working on tracks for the next Pussycat Dolls album. "Right now I've been in the studio working on music non-stop," she said. "We're going to have another Pussycat Dolls album for all of our fans out there but that's going to be late this year. I'm still Nicky Doll. And I'm just ploughing away in the studio making music that I love." Scherzinger also refused to rule out a solo career, adding: "I don't know if I'm going to put [the new music out] under my name yet or if it's going to be perfect for the Dolls. It doesn't matter. "I just want to make great music for the fans. It's going to be popular music, but I'm definitely going with [a] more rock, soul-inspired sound." Scherzinger was recently named as one of the contestants on the tenth season of Dancing With The Stars.

In a statement confirming the news, the pair announced that they had made the decision in order to concentrate on their careers. A spokesman for the couple explained: "They have decided to go their separate ways. They want to focus fully on their careers and will remain close friends." Rumours that Scherzinger and Hamilton were on the rocks first emerged last month, but they remained tight-lipped over the reports at the time. A source has now told The Mirror: "It's sad because they did love each other. When you saw them trackside together they were always laughing and Nicole would give him a little peck on the cheek before the race. "But they had to be realistic. There was no way they could continue their careers and stay together - it was getting way too stressful. No-one else is involved, their careers just got in the way." Scherzinger is currently said to be working on a solo album, while Hamilton is preparing for the forthcoming Formula 1 season.
